Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific - RHCO-P

Tripler Army Medical Center

The Regional Health Contracting Office - Pacific (RHCO-P) is a specialized acquisition workforce that procures medical-related services and supplies for military treatment facilities throughout the Regional Health Command-Pacific area of responsibility. RHCO-P is the U.S. Army Health Contracting Activity’s most geographically-dispersed region and operates in two geographic locations; Fort Shafter, Hawaii, and Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. The region provides healthcare contracting support to medical, dental, and public health facilities on the West Coast of the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, and South Korea. Its operational space spans 36 countries and encompasses more than 4,500 miles across five time zones. As the Pacific Region grows into a more readiness centric environment, RHCO-P will expand its acquisition capacity and influence throughout the Indo-Pacific. Building strategic partnerships with Navy and Air Force entities has extended our operational reach, and allowed our contracting expertise to fill the gap across the acquisition and logistics enterprise.

Notable Contracts

RHCO-P executes multiple medical staff augmentation contracts in support of military treatment facilities within the Pacific Region. The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Medical Q-Coded Services (MQS) strategic contract vehicle is the mandated source for procuring credentialed and non-credentialed healthcare workers. Military treatment facilities such as Tripler Army Medical Center, Madigan Army Medical Center, Desmond T. Doss Health Clinic, and Basset Army Community Hospital utilizes MQS contracts to supplement their staff with full-time equivalent Physician, Ancillary, and Nursing services.

RHCO-P is currently at the forefront of the fight against the Coronavirus. Our COVID-19 testing and surveillance contracts have supported the Department of Defense’s multipronged approach of surveillance, contact tracing, and restriction of movement. RHCO-P awarded laboratory clinical testing contracts for CONUS and OCONUS treatment facilities that provides regular viral testing, leading to early detection of COVID-19 and the subsequent actions to stop the spread of the virus.
